Abstract

A study of wrong way accidents is reported utilizing the accident records of divided highways in Indiana for 1970-72 as a data base. The ninety-six accidents studied were examined according to: numbers and locations; types and severity; times and dates; environmental conditions; age of drivers involved; sobriety of drivers involved; and fatigue of drivers involved.
