Abstract

Radiographs were taken of the cervical spines of male subjects during voluntary motion from full flexion to full extension. Approximately 16 radiographs were taken during a period of 3½ seconds. The resulting motions of the cervical vertebrae were analyzed. A simple pinned-link model of the spine under these conditions is presented.
