Abstract

The purpose of the investigation was to attempt to deter-mine what, if any, crisis intervention is needed for suchdrivers. Major findings are: 1) the range of time for dri-vers to resolve their crises seemed to be Erom a few hoursto years after the accident, 2) the crises created manypsychosocial and physical problems for these drivers, 3)the sugport of family, friends, and significant others wasthe most important variable for the drivers in crisis reso.-lution, 4) condemnation hindered theet most.
