Abstract

For a number of reasons, sound and light signals can no longer be considered adequate to provide the necessary degree of conspicuity. Therefore, colour remains the only sure means of indicating the presence of a relief vehicle. On compelling grounds summed up in this paper, the author makes a strong plea to change the colour of all relief and intervention vehicles from red or white to lemon- yellow.
