Abstract

National road safety activities of best practice (BP) have been collected from different clubs. These results will be analyzed in order to identify some proposals which could be developed into practical measures. The different demands in terms of financial and logistical efforts for different parts of the world will, of course, be taken into account. This is particularly important for countries which have not developed road safety activities yet. By categorizing road safety activities each Automobile Association may decide on its own, whether to start or enhance its road safety activities. Sharing information and experiences encourages the adoption of successful road safety strategies and measures. Therefore the intention of this project is to contribute to the FIA's goal of providing useful information for the successful operation of best practice road safety activities. (Author/publisher)
