Abstract

A detailed analysis was made of the results obtained by TRRL's 'at the scene' accident investigation team with respect to the involvement of 'young' car drivers. The objective was to identify factors contributing towards their higher accident involvement so that appropriate countermeasures could be developed. Analyses were conducted on both the 'accidents' and the 'drivers' sampled in the survey. The main findings are presented and discussed.
