Abstract

This paper discusses the behaviour of drivers up to 21 and over 65 years of age in British Columbia, Canada. The highest rate of accident proneness with regard to the total number of drivers and mileage was the group of young drivers. This accident proneness decreases with a driver's age. It also presents some test results concerning the cause of an accident caused by young or elderly drivers.
