Abstract

There is no aspect of highway accident and injury prevention which is more urgent than the problem of the dangerous young driver. In particular in Michigan in 1968 the youngest drivers, aged 19 years and younger, who constitute 8,1% of the licensed driving population, were involved in 16,3% of the fatal crashes. Accidents most happen in the end of the spring time. Special training and education in schools may be an answer.
