Abstract

As far as some aspects of traffic are concerned the developments in the Netherlands are lagging for behind those in the neighbouring countries, from a point of view of both quality and quantity. Traffic in urban areas, particularly the parking problem, deserves the closest attention. It is shown that on the point of the "resting car" the Netherlands is a backward area, and that not only with regard to the total number of car parks, but also with respect to design and lay-out of parking facilities.
