Abstract

A characteristic is given of the pedestrian. Besides the qualities and possibilities of this means of transport attention is paid to the possible and necessary quality and safety requirements. The conclusion is that the pedestrian is strongly neglected. There is much talking about pedestrians but little fundamentally done. On the principles of this quality and safety requirements on the provision for pedestrians, possible solutions are given.
