Marjolein Boele, MSc, conducts research into (motor)cyclist behaviour and bicycle helmets. Her PhD research at TU Delft focuses on the older cyclist and she investigates which factors influence the safety of older cyclists. Marjolein is a member of the steering committee of the  International Cycling Safety Conference, and of the advisory board of the National Cycling Congress of the Netherlands. She is also project manager of the project ‘Safe driving with early dementia’ and as a psychologist, she is involved in in-depth studies into road traffic crashes.  
 
Marjolein Boele completed her master’s degree in Cognitive Psychology at Leiden University.
