Dr Agnieszka Stelling is a project manager and an expert in road user behaviour, in particular distraction in traffic, behaviour of speed pedelec-riders and the role of auditory information in risk perception. As a psychologist, she is involved in SWOV’s in-depth studies into road traffic crashes. Agnieszka is coordinator of the European project Trendline within which 29 European countries 29 European countries collect risk indicators for road safety. She is also a tutor for the Young Researchers Seminar, a bi-annual training event for young transport researchers. 

Agnieszka Stelling graduated in Cognitive Psychology at Leiden University. In 2018 she obtained her PhD at Delft University of Technology on the thesis Cycling safe and sound; The impact of quiet electric cars, listening to music and conversing on the phone on cyclists’ auditory perception and cycling safety.
