Dr Jaap Oude Mulders is a researcher and project manager interested in the registration of road accidents, the societal costs of road (un)safety, the influence of the weather, and the impact of societal developments such as population aging and changing mobility behavior on road safety. He coordinates the annual State of Road Safety report and a project that forecasts road safety statistics in the future, based on different types of societal and technological developments.

In 2016, Jaap received a PhD degree from Utrecht University for the thesis Organizations, managers, and the employment of older workers after retirement.
