Virtual reality study on distraction detection

SWOV is looking for participants interested in helping us investigate distraction detection systems for semi-automated vehicles by taking part in a virtual reality simulator study.

What does the study involve?

You will experience driving in an automated vehicle in virtual reality. Throughout the experiment, you will answer questionnaires about your experience in the vehicle. We will record your gaze behaviour with eye-tracking software.

How long does the study take?

The study will last approximately 1.5 hours. The study takes place at the Department of Industrial Engineering building of the TU Delft.

Who are we looking for?

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a valid driver’s licence.
  • You can drive without glasses or hard contact lenses.

What happens to your data?

Your personal data will only be used to contact you for this particular study and will be deleted when the study is completed. Personal data will be collected and managed in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation). All data obtained in this study will be completely anonymised. Therefore, it won't be possible to trace the published results to individual participants.
