Samenvatting
The first 20 mph speed limit zones came into operation in January 1991. In authorising the signs for these zones the Department of Transport has been anxious to see a variety of legends used in the lower part of the sign. A number of local authorities have taken advantage of that freedom. This leaflet draws attention to some examples of good practice in the design of the lower portion of the sign. (A)
