Samenvatting

The Motor Vehicle Occupant Safety Survey (MVOSS) is a large-sample national telephone survey on occupant issues conducted every two-to-three years for NHTSA. The survey is composed of two questionnaires, each administered to a randomly selected sample of approximately 6,000 people 16 and older. This series of volumes presents results from the 2003 MVOSS. Volume 3 summarizes data concerning attitudes and knowledge regarding air bags. Topical areas include prevalence of air bags, air bag demand, air bags and safety belt use, safety concerns about air bags, and air bag safety warnings. (Author/publisher)
