Samenvatting

The National Sleep Foundation commissioned WB&A Market Research to conduct a national survey among adults 55 to 84 years of age living in the United States — the 2003 Sleep in America poll. The following information was obtained about the 55 and older age group: • Sleep behaviors and sleep problems; • Diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders; • Frequency and impact of daytime sleepiness and drowsy driving; and • The association between sleep and medical/physical conditions, as well as mood, outlook and lifestyle factors.
