Samenvatting
In April 1989 the Association of British Insurers (ABI) carried out a one day survey of the motor insurance claims arising from road accidents. These claims were then analysed by the Transport and Road Research Laboratory (TRRL). This article presents information on: claims involving injury; willingness to claim; the involvement of company cars in road accidents; comparison of rate of claims with engine capacity of the car; purpose of journey; percentage of claims by learner drivers and riders; claimants licence details; and age of driver.
