Samenvatting

In spite of the different aims of the PMHS (postmortem human subjects) simulations and the analysis of the real side collisions it was tried to compare both groups. As comparing variable, the maximum deformation is chosen, because it is known that the direct impact is essentially responsible for the occupants' injuries. The aim of this paper was to compare the dependence of injury severity in both groups due to maximum deformation and to try explain possible differences.
