Samenvatting

This paper is concerned with the development and use of accident predictive relations. Such relations enable the annual frequency of accidents at a road junction, for example, to be predicted from the layout, the traffic and pedestrian flows, and a range of other factors. The methods described have been developed by IRRL to establish accident predictive relations for round about, rural major /minor T junctions and urban traffic signal junctions.
