Accident prevention systems for lorries : the results of a large-scale field operational test aimed at reducing accidents, improving safety and positively affecting traffic circulation.

The Ministry of Transport (FileProof) instructed Connekt to undertake a large-scale field operational test of active driver assistance systems, so called accident prevention systems (APS) for lorries. This very large-scale study involved more than 2.400 lorries supplied by 123 companies. The study lasted 8 months and over a total of around 77 million kilometres driving behaviour was measured during normal daily driving on Dutch motorways. (Author/publisher)
