Samenvatting
During World War I, the British government established the Industrial Fatigue Research Board (IFRB), later known as the Industrial Health Research Board (IHRB). The board was created because of concern over the large number of accidental deaths and injuries in the British war production industries. In the course of its dozen or so years, the Board investigated myriad aspects of the issue. One of these studies forms the basis of the present discussion. (Author/publisher)
