Samenvatting
The problem of detecting real differences in risk from accident rates alone is examined: A model for accident processes is presented, and accident risk defined. Empirical support for the model is critically examined. Significance tests for the interaction of attributes in the risk space are discussed. The procedure for calculating confidence limits for accident risk is derived from the accident process model.
