Samenvatting
Accident occurrence at comparable shopping areas of the planned off-street type and the traditional strip development type are compared. Although limited in scope the results of the investigation indicate that on average there were 30% fewer accidents at the off-street shopping centers. The most significant difference in accident pattern was the lower proportion of pedestrian accidents at off-street centers.
