Samenvatting
Matrix light boxes are under consideration for use in information systems along the motorways. The legibility of the information is sometimes hampered, either because of the too high illumination of the (dark) front of the matrix or because of the high luminance of the sky surrounding the matrix. On the basis of experimental and literature data an evaluation is made of all the combinations of the two mentioned factors that can be expected to occur and the results are presented.
