Acquiring traffic data by in-motion weighing.

Truck weight surveys as part of an overall traffic inventory and forecasting program have been conducted since long times but there was a need for a more efficient traffic weight survey procedure. Now a portable electronic system for weighing highway vehicles in motion is developed. The apparatus is described and the results of field tests are presented.
