Samenvatting

Metro Manila has seen many changes in the areas of traffic and transportation, aimed at easing the metropolis traffic problem through the implementation of innovative measures such as clearing the sidewalk of obstructions so it can be used by pedestrians instead of the roadway; installation of "pink" fences to separate private from public vehicles and/or from pedestrians; and the adoption of the U-Turn Scheme at intersection as an alternative to traffic crossing, among others. This paper particularly aims to discuss the adaptability of the U-Turn Scheme in Metro Manila's arterial roads. (a) For the covering entry of this conference, please see ITRD abstract no. E214938.
