Samenvatting
The result of the energy crises and the common economic problems in most countries have an impact on the development of road traffic and the roads. The explosion of the number of cars and car traffic is followed by a more balanced development, and in some countries a small decrease can be observed. The application of modern aids to the road design is illustrated and a technique for the design of modernisation and improvement of an existing road or road system is discussed.
