Samenvatting
This article begins by presenting a short Dutch case demonstrating the airbag effectiveness in a frontal collision. As the airbag has saved thousands of lives in the United States of America, the article points out that the same thing should happen in The Netherlands. It describes how the airbag is working. The numbers of injury reduction are given. It is concluded that the introduction of the airbag in every new car is wanted, as the price is outweighed by the higher safety for the driver and passenger.
