Samenvatting

Several means for judging the extent of the alcohol problem among drivers of heavy trucks were investigated. They included discussions with interested persons, a review of existing literature, and an analysis of accident data from FARS. The FARS data, analyzed with a view to these problems, showed nineteen percent of fatally injured drivers of heavy trucks had been drinking.
