Samenvatting
A new edition of alcohol and Alcoholism is presented. The set- up of the booklet in the following chapters is: I and II) different alcoholic beverages are discussed and the magnitude of alcohol use and attitudes in different countries are mentioned. Chapter III to VII) discuss the use and abuse of alcohol. Chapters VIII to XI present information on prevention, treatment and legislation. Organizations and their research in this field are given.
