Samenvatting
When breath alcohol ignition interlock devices are embedded in a comprehensive monitoring and service program, reductions in the rate of repeat Driving While Impaired (DWI) offenses of convicted DWI offenders lead to 40-96% reductions. The purpose of this document is to review important features of ignition interlock program. Suggested are new ways to think about how program features might advance public safety beyond the current implementation models.
