Samenvatting
The policy at present pursued will be thoroughly analysed to find out which elements have affected the use of alcohol in traffic. Then a review is given of possible measures regarding driving a car under the influence of alcohol, with their expected advantages and disadvantages. An overall view, as far as possible, will be given of the instruments national government has available to make traffic safer. Some of the measures are widely discussed with respect to the costs and their effects on several aspects of our well-being. Finally the report gives some suggestions to the authorities on how to use the information to decide which policy to pursue in the future. Volume II contains all the tables, figures and appendix.
