Samenvatting
In this report, a study is made of the extent in which the results of an earlier study of the macroscopic developments in the Netherlands road safety by Commandeur and Koornstra (2001; see ITRD E203836.), can be validated using analyses of the same macroscopic developments in other developed countries. These countries were: Belgium, France, Great Britain, Japan, Sweden, USA, and the former West Germany. A possible relation between the deviations in the exposure data and those in the fatal risk was looked at specifically.
