Samenvatting

In this study, various noise prediction models like FHWA, CORTN, and Stop-and-Go models have been used for predicting road traffic noise in Delhi, the capital city of India. Eight different sites of Delhi were identified for data collection. Besides noise level, classified traffic volume, speed data, road geometry were also collected. Data collected on these sites has been analyzed and noise level is predicted using different models. An analytical model has also been developed using regression technique for predicting urban traffic noise for Indian conditions. The results obtained by different models are compared using t-test to identify the suitable model for predicting urban traffic noise and to prepare a comparative assessment of different noise prediction models.
