Samenvatting
It is examined if lorries and cars are involved in accidents in a different way. Results are (1) the participation of lorries in accidents is relatively low compared to their number; (2) the relative proportion of the lorry drivers and the car drivers who have caused the accident is more or less equal; (3) the lorries and the cars are distributed differently in accordance with the different accident types; and (4) the consequences of accidents are much more serious for the occupants of cars than for lorry occupants.
