Most young urban people have their work in the suburbs, where the big office locations are. For their mobility they select the car as the best transport mode. Public transport is often not enough available, irregular and expensive, when it is not used daily. To decrease traffic jams in the city during peak hours the travel behaviour of these people should be modified. The use of the bicycle, with an adequate parking provision, should have more attention. Modified opening times of the shops, the introduction of special tickets for public transport, staggered working hours, carpooling, and the use of transferia are some of the proposed possibilities to motivate the car users to select another transport mode when going to their work.
