Samenvatting

A user interface called HMI (Human-machine interface) on in-vehicle telematics system is a very important part. An HMI for In-vehicle telematics system must be specialized for vehicle environment, embedded terminal, operating system and so on. This paper is intended to suggest a way of designing a HMI S/W system considering vehicle environment especially for drivers and middleware characteristics. The architecture of HMI provided in this paper is based on international standards, such as OSGi framework. And it is designed for operating system-neutral by using message-based methodologyand Java. Java is widely used because end user applications are not dependent on operating system and hardware characteristics. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
