Samenvatting
This contribution illustrates the basic research program that has been started at the Traffic Research Centre to determine the conditions for an educational program for young cyclists in order to improve their relatively unsafe position in traffic. In a six year scientific program the behavioural and cognitive development from novice (young) cyclist to expert is studied. The research program comprises five phase, which are presented briefly.
