Samenvatting

In the pre-crash phase, the human factors are probably more heavily involved than others. Possible human factors are manifold, including behavioural characteristics, such as perception, motor skills, etc. In addition medical factors are also involved, most important of which are the use of alcohol and drugs, which is the focus of this report. Four major attribute dimensions of traffic fatalities are explored: sex of driver, age of driver, collision type, and driver death time.
