An analysis of impact overload in a simplified vehicle structural system.

The theoretical and experimental analysis of a representative one dimensional, multiple degree of freedom structural system is described; and the effects upon the response of the system, of the structural element geometry, material, and strain-rate, and the interconnection of the mass elements and structural elements, are discussed.
