This paper describes the characteristics of the presented information from the vehicle instruments and the road signs. The information presented by the vehicle, road and intelligent transportation systems (ITS) devices are collected and classified from the perspective of the driving tasks. The information was evaluated on two levels: level of risk avoidance and level of availability of unpresented information (how far can the information be obtained when not presented). In the results, to deliver a lot of information effectively to the driver who has limited capacity of information transactions, new effective means to complement for and cooperate with the information presented by the vehicle and the roads need to be discussed. In addition, it is important to have consistency by standardizing the role of the vehicle and the road and how the information is presented.
