A limited number of studies have been completed relative to the factors contributing to accident related injuries sustained by occupants of pickup trucks. This paper investigates the injury mechanisms and injury contact sources of occupants in pickup trucks involved in collisions. The findings from the study document the benefits from use of occupant restraint systems.
