Samenvatting

Accident reports of 935 motorcycle accidents were examined and divided in two categories (multi vehicle and single vehicle accidents) for analysis. About two thirds of the accidents were multi vehicle. In 62% of these accidents the driver of the car was at fault. When the motorcyclist was at fault he was usually following too close. Rounding curves was the maneuver most frequently associated with single vehicle accidents.
