Samenvatting
The data for this study were collected from all renewal driver licensing applicants who presented themselves for testing a one-week period in January 1973. The data included: (a) the new tests, (b) driver history record of accidents and violations of the four preceding years, and (c) a supplementary set of information concerned with age, sex, race, level of education, amount of driving, and age of car driven by the applicant. The results of the study are described and recommendation are made for the improvement of the driver licensing program.
