Samenvatting

Concerned with the effects of roadside land use on the quality of traffic service, roadway and land use characteristics for several 4- lane undivided arterials are studied. The analysis revealed that unit travel time on the arterials increased as the number of daily trip ends per mile or the amount of commercial floor area per mile increased, and it is concluded that control of roadside development is clearly important in preserving the quality of traffic service.
