Samenvatting

The cervical cord is a vital structure through which all impulses must travel from the trunk and limbs to reach the brain and also through which all impulses originating in the brain must pass to supply structures in the limbs and trunk. Knowledge of the anatomy of the cervical cord is a requisite to properly localize, diagnose and prognosticate on the effects of a trauma to which the cervical cord is subjected.
