Samenvatting
Per September 15, 1985 the yearly vehicle inspection for cars and light commercial vehicles became mandatory in the Netherlands. During 1986 a number of negative tidings about these vehicle inspections appeared in the media. These considered (1) fraud with stickers and inspection reports (2) incorrect approval (3) objectives against the inspectin organizations, and (4) insufficient control. Therefore an evaluation of the efficiency of this vehicle inspection was carried out.
