Samenvatting

Infrared Beacon applied Advanced Mobile Information System (AMIS) has been prepared rapidly setting a goal of preparing in the entire prefecture by the spring of 2001. Besides AMIS, Mobile Operation Control Systems (MOCS) and Dynamic Route Guidance Systems (DRGS) will be examined in the future as an infrared beacon applied application. For the future systems, the important factor of technology will be depending on how they apply a vehicle up-link data from the infrared beacons. The most basic up-link data are the infrared beacon passing time, the beacon number and the vehicle ID. Collecting these information to the central unit at the control centre and creating into the necessary information for MOCS and DRGS would be needed. These information processes are such as calculating travelling time between beacons, estimating vehicle locations between beacons and retrieving the optimal route by each beacon location, and it will be expected that they would make the burden too heavy for the process according to increment of the up-link data. The processing model is an independent aspect at multiple points and a parallel-processing computer will be considered as one method to realise the system. Super-parallel processing on travelling time for the future implementation of MOCS and DRGS using vehicle up-link data collected by implementation of AMIS in Oita prefecture in collaboration with The Oita Prefectural Police Headquarters was verified.
