Samenvatting

A brief description is given of the application of a digital computer to vehicle design engineering. The aim is to input the masses and structural characteristics of vehicles derived experimentally to the computer and the computer simulation to 1) predict the results of an impact, 2) assess the problems resulting from a change in mechanical lay out and 3) examine the effects of a change in stiffness of the body structure.
